v0.0.5 - Kim Maida

How much do users actually need to know?

Kim Maida is the Senior Director of Developer Relations (DevRel) at FusionAuth, and a passionate advocate for educating others and leading tech users (usually developers) to success!

Lately she’s been working on a newer concept, architecture-driven authentication. It’s just another way that Kim is working to arm her team with knowledge as well as sharing with the wider community! Keeping app users safe is so important and anyone can use that knowledge regardless of the provider you’re using.

But, how much do users actually need to know? How deeply should DevRel go into sharing what’s inside the black box? There’s definitely a balance to strike.

In this episode, we’ll talk about DevRel (Developer Relations) and how it’s really about educating others, the pros and cons of self-hosted authentication as well as other aspects of this critical infrastructure, architecture-driven auth, the challenge of sharing information in a concise way versus deep dives for different audiences, and miniatures and artisan key caps! 🤩

Your call to action? → Choose to spend your time on things that you care about and you love; don't worry about spending a ton of time and energy learning things that won’t help you feel fulfilled…
